“Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up! And to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth.” Isaiah 43: 5-6

MIA

So sorry that I have been MIA for the last couple of weeks. We have just been staying busy with play groups and fun outdoor activites (when its not too hot).

Zayla has been very busy trying to perfect her walking, which is still very unsteady. And I've been trying to get all of my teaching stuff (thats still in the same place and same boxes its been since I packed up my classroom in May) organized and put away at home.

Yep, that's right-putting my stuff away at home, because I have a wonderful husband that is letting me be a stay-at-home-mama for the next few years with our daughter! I am so excited about this, and of course, the teacher in me has taken over...I already have a mini-curriculum for what we will do in the fall, and some great ideas to keep us busy in the winter too! I know, maybe a bit over the top, but I've got all this "stuff" and I might as well use it : )

Until next time (oh, and of course of new photo of our cutie)!

  1. Hey my friend! I loved reading this post because I had exactly the same idea of creating a "curriculum" for Eva for the fall. I don't know where to start though. Could you give me some ideas on concepts?
Love the pic! She's got such a great smile :-)

  3. I just found your blog via 'Faith Blogs'. I love your story and I absolutely love the name of your blog. I have a chronic illness, so natural pregnancy will never be a possibility for me. I used to really struggle with this fact. But now I look forward to the day when I 'already love' my adopted son or daughter. Especially when I read stories like yours. It makes me feel very blessed that God has called me towards adoption. Thank you for sharing your story and beautiful pictures of your precious daughter! Congrats on getting to be a stay at home mom! Awesome!
